  • Leroy offers integrative humanistic and experiential psychotherapy, which is present-centred, relational, trauma-informed, non-pathologising, and evidence-based.

He emphasises co-creating a warm, authentic, and psychologically safe therapeutic relationship as a foundation for positive change. He curates his approach to match the unique needs, goals, and process of each client.

Leroy’s training and practice integrate person-centred therapy, internal family systems, sensorimotor psychotherapy, mindfulness-based therapy, emotion-focused therapy, Gestalt therapy, existential psychotherapy, child-centred play therapy, and process-oriented group psychotherapy.

He works primarily with people between the ages of 10 to 35 years old.

  • Leroy’s private practice is based online, and at Bilibio Psychology Clinic in Mona Vale.

He has significant experience supporting people through depression; anxiety; family & relationship issues; communication & interpersonal challenges; loneliness & social isolation; suicidal ideation; life transitions & adjustments; behaviour & anger issues; men’s issues; childhood trauma; and attachment wounds.

Leroy started his career in 2017, after launching the suicide prevention peer support program ‘Open Up’ alongside Northern Beaches-based charity One Eighty Inc.

He became deeply committed to supporting young people in his community after the tragic suicides of two young friends aged 20 and 22.

Over five years, five locations in Sydney and online, and 430+ mental health support sessions - the Open Up program provided an anonymous, judgement-free space for 3400+ young people to connect, and find support in each other.

Leroy volunteered as program co-creator, principal facilitator and team leader for three years, later holding leadership, supervisory, and training roles. There, he discovered his passion and calling for facilitating healing interpersonal experiences.

He now holds a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling, and is a certified practising member of the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). He also holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Philosophy, with an interest in Stoic, Existential, and Buddhist philosophy, ethics, and philosophy of mind.

He has diverse experience facilitating groups, and developing and delivering adult and adolescent learning in the not-for profit and private sector. This includes creating and facilitating training, courses, and programs on topics including suicide prevention, interpersonal communication, group facilitation, mindfulness and meditation, peer support, healthy relationships, and men's mental health.

Finally, Leroy also welcomes opportunities to share the psychological freedom afforded by mindfulness practice, having personally benefitted from a decade of practice experience. He shares from direct experience in a down-to-earth, practical way, and has experience teaching mindfulness through eight-week courses and individual mentoring.
